100% A Level Pass Rate

British School of Alicante Students attain excellent A level results.

We are delighted with the outstanding A level results this year. It means that all our Year 13 students have been offered their first choice of university, and because of BSA's strong international links, our students will be attending universities in the UK, Spain, Australia and Canada.

At A Level, there was a 100% pass rate in all subjects with just under 60% of students attaining A or B grades across the vast range of subjects offered at the BSA . The result represents a significant improvement on last year when the pass rate was 87% and just over a third of the students received A or B grades.

BSA students have already been offered places at leading British Universities, including Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Royal Holloway, Kingston, UWE Bristol and the European Business School in London.

Standard Achievement Tests (SATs) are taken every year by all students in state schools to assess their progress in the National Curriculum.

British School of Alicante students take Key Stage 2 SATs at the end of Year 6 and Key Stage 3 SATs at the end of Year 9.

The papers are sent to England for marking. The target level for children at the end of Year 6 is Level 4, and for those at the end of Year 9 is Level 5 or 6. Students normally take IGCSE at the end of Year 11, although some subjects may be taken at the end of Year 10.
