Sixth Form scholarship

Curriculum

The school is three form entry, which means that we take in three new classes of Nursery aged children each year. The other year groups may have two or three classes, each with 25 children in.

All children are taught in mixed ability classes, with children of the same age. Children may be taught English, Maths or Spanish in smaller groups if we consider support is needed. GCSE and "A" Level option groups are also considerably smaller given the degree of subject choices at these stages

There are 3 departments:

Early Years: Nursery (age 3) and Reception (age 4) classes

Primary: Years 1 - 6 (ages 5 - 10)

Secondary: Years 7 - 11 (ages 11-16)

University Entrance: Years 12 - 13 (ages 17-18)

All ages follow the requirements of the National Curriculum, and it is taught, with slight modifications, as it is in schools in the UK.

British staff deliver the English National Curriculum while the Spanish classes are given by Spanish teachers.
