Creativity
The creative impulse defines the best and most valued elements of humanity. Creativity can be found in every classroom and every subject studied at the school. The artistic expression of this creative process is most clearly seen on the walls of the school. The school's corridors and classrooms display a constantly changing collection of the very best work produced by our pupils. The expression of creativity and the recognition of outstanding work are values that the school takes very seriously.
From the Nursery to the Sixth Form Art, Music, Drama and Dance all play an important role in the day-to-day life of the school. There are regular music concerts and every week children are encouraged to perform at assemblies as well as Annual Musicals, Plays, Carol Concerts, etc.
The school has a large, well equipped music room as well as a studio dedicated to Art. There are many extra-curricular opportunities to learn or polish skills in music, dance and drama.
We believe that to play a musical instrument in front of an audience or to paint a picture to be displayed on a wall or to take part in a dramatic performance all build confidence and self-belief. The expression of creativity is central to the school's ethos and values. These are the values that help make the wider school community of parents and grandparents appreciate what the school stands for.
