On Tuesday 14th of February we held the first of our Early Years Parent Classes on the subject of Child Behaviour. I was delighted that almost 100 parents attended the meeting which was presented by Sra Rodriguez and Mrs Millson, Head of Early Years. We will be making their presentation available on the school website shortly.

Congratulations to several of our Sixth Form students who received their official PADI licences and certificates at an assembly on February 7th.

I am delighted to have received our new certificate of Executive Membership of COBIS (Council of British International Schools).The elevated status of the school within COBIS reflects the high esteem in which we are held both within Spain and Internationally as well as recognising the rigours of accredited Inspection and Quality Assurance we undertake.

I am delighted to report that Emma has returned from her latest Table Tennis competition with more resounding success. Emma played 5 matches in her group; she won 4 of them and lost the last one which meant she finished second of her group. This allowed her to go directly to "Octavos de final” where she played against the number two of Spain losing 3-0.

On behalf of our pupils and staff I would like to wish all parents and friends of the school a Happy New Year and our best wishes for 2012. It was lovely to see so many happy, smiling faces arriving back at school this morning after a well-deserved and enjoyable holiday. I am particularly pleased to be able to inform you of the totals raised for Charities last term at King´s College Alicante.

Congratulations to our History teacher, Ms Kerry Wood who completed the Benidorm half marathon last weekend.

Year 7 pupils from five schools in Alicante, including King´s College, The British School of Alicante were invited to take part in a plenary session in the Town Hall hosted by the Mayor.
